An original TV anime set in Kamogawa, Chiba Prefecture, in 2032, in which Madoka Kyono of the Kamogawa Girls' High School jersey club boards the robot "Vox" together with girls from space and fights to protect the town.
The setting is Kamogawa, and the local Rinne no Lagrange Kamogawa Promotion Committee has published a pilgrimage guide. The Uomizuka observation deck, which matches the view in the opening, Maebara-Yokonagi Coast, said to be the coast where Madoka's high school stands, and Kamogawa Matsushima, the islands floating in the sea, are listed as recommended locations.
