About Rokechi & Editorial Policy

Rokechi is the English edition of 全国ロケ地図鑑 (rokechi.jp), a Japanese database of filming and real-life locations. The English edition covers anime: you can find the real places that appear in each anime, other anime set nearby, and the area they are in.

Every location is checked against public information from the anime's official website, broadcasters, local governments, film commissions, tourism boards, the places themselves, and news reports. Each page links its sources (mostly in Japanese) with the date we checked them. We do not publish guesses, and we do not copy text or images from other location websites.

English text is translated from our Japanese pages. Place names use official English names where available, otherwise romanized Japanese. Some coordinates are approximate values from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL).

Officially confirmed

Confirmed by official information from the anime, a local government, a film commission or similar.

Confirmed by multiple sources

Confirmed by more than one reliable source, such as news reports.

Some locations are private property, working shops, schools or residential streets. Please follow the rules on entry and photography, and be considerate of the people who live and work there.
