Insomniacs After School Anime Locations in Japan

A TV anime based on Makoto Ojiro's manga, in which Ganta Nakami and Isaki Magase, high school students troubled by insomnia, meet in the school's unused observatory and grow closer as the astronomy club through photographing the starry sky.

The original author has named the scenery of Noto, including Nanao, Ishikawa Prefecture, as the setting of the work, and the official site introduces Chirihama, Mitsukejima, and the Mawaki site as the locations of memorable scenes in the series. Seaside and starry-sky spots across the Noto Peninsula form the background of the story.
