About Fureru.
An original feature-length animated film written by Mari Okada and directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai. It depicts the relationship between three childhood friends who left their island for Tokyo and live in Takadanobaba, and a mysterious creature called Fureru.
The Shinjuku Tourism Association and the official website state that the film is set around Takadanobaba. Ochiai Chuo Park is named as the setting of an important scene in the story, and a tour event was held in the area from Takadanobaba Station to Ochiai Chuo Park.
