About

About Blue Giant

An anime film adaptation of Shinichi Ishizuka's manga. Dai Miyamoto, a Sendai native devoted to jazz, goes to Tokyo aiming to become the world's best jazz player, forms a band with friends, and grows.

The Sendai-Miyagi Film Commission's "Sendai-Miyagi Anime and Manga Location Exploration Map" introduces the riverbank of the Hirose River where the protagonist practiced the tenor saxophone in high school, and the east exit of Sendai Station from which he leaves for Tokyo at the start. Most of the story is set in Tokyo, but Sendai is depicted as the starting point.
