About The Flowers of Evil

A TV anime based on Shuzo Oshimi's manga, produced entirely with the rotoscoping technique, in which live-action footage is traced into drawings. Directed by Hiroshi Nagahama.

The town in the story is a fictional city modeled on Kiryu, Gunma Prefecture, and the live-action filming that formed the basis of the anime took place in Kiryu. Kiryu City's filming location map introduces the Kiryu General Welfare Center (the former Minami Junior High School) and the Honcho 6-chome shopping street as the main filming locations.
